What the specifications mean

Usable capacity (kWh)

Energy actually available to the house, after depth-of-discharge limits.

Always compare usable capacity, not nameplate. The gap between the two can be 10%.

Continuous power output (kW)

Sustained power the battery can deliver.

Capacity determines how long you can run; continuous power determines what you can run at once. A well pump or a heat pump starting up needs real power, not just energy.

Cell chemistry

The lithium chemistry used in the cells.

LFP (lithium iron phosphate) is now standard for home storage: longer cycle life and far better thermal safety than the NMC chemistry used in older products.

Parts warranty (yr)

Standard parts warranty term with registration.

Solar modules carry 25-40 year terms; mechanical equipment rarely exceeds 12. Check whether the term requires registration within a deadline — many do, and missing it silently drops you to a much shorter base warranty.
